Hi everyone.

I am looking for any ideas on making cheap burlesque accessories. So far I have made feather fans, corsets and bracelets but was looking for more things to make on a budget.

Any ideas?

Pasties are super easy and cheap to make. I used to make them a lot (I made some Xmas wreath pasties for a Xmas party my club was throwing, lol, the picture is on here somewhere...)
Get some cross stitch fabric and cut out a circle. Sew it into a shallow cone shape 2 to 3 inches wide. Cut felt and sew it into the same shape. Sew sequins, tassels, flowers etc to the felt cone and sew the cross stitch fabric to it. The fabric sticks well to spirit gum, which u use to stick them to your nips.
That was how I made mine, anyway!
I found the pics.... This should give you a better idea... These weren't my best but they worked great!

Thanks for the idea. I have made something similar, but more like a half breast decoration than just over the nips, due to my size (tiny circles look kind of funny on an f cup).

I would post pics, but don't know how Sad

Have you tried mini top hats?

I get plain top hats from a vendor on etsy, then deck them out.

I actually just covered one in glitter last night for a showing of the Rocky Horror picture Show and I think I am putting it in my etsy shop in the next day or two.

You could also try gloves?  Like fingerless gloves...

Flower hair clips with feathers on them...
or shorty circle skirts...in my years of burlesque, all of my costumes ended up being corests and mini circle skirts Smiley

Have fun!

My candle burns at both ends, it will not last the night.  But oh, my friends, and oh, my foes, it gives a lovely light.
