I recently finished my first ever blanket, and first big crochet project!!

I'm really pleased with how it turned out, especially the kitschy fringe. The cheery colours make me so happy.

I'm so glad to be back into crocheting again, and now I've started some yarnbombing projects. I've figured out a way of making banners of text. So far I've only done 'picnic tree' signs (I like having picnics in trees) but I want to do more political messages. Any suggestions for some feministy/anti consumerism or other slogans?

That's really cute! What yarn did you use? The stitch definition is lovely.

Thanks everyone! It's a cotton/acrylic blend, I picked it because it was the only right shade of green in the whole store but actually I'm really pleased with it.
I kind of followed a tutorial from attic24 (http://attic24.typepad.com/weblog/2008/11/hexagon-crochet.html)
except i used her 4th round as my third round, because i only wanted three rounds. I also followed her tutorial for joining the motifs as you go, and weaving in ends as you go too, which was very useful!
