Here's a scan of the bookmark I sent SailorGirlBonk.  It's based largely on a character and quote from a book by one of the authors she listed as favorite (and inspired by representations of those things on her wist) and sailing.  The ships' wheels reminded me of gears, so I put two of them together in a nod to steampunk.

(And, yes, I cut out those ships' wheels by hand.  I was really wishing I had a Silhouette! lol)

I'm loving all these bookmarks! I got home from vacation last night to a pile of bills and junk mail... and TWO bookmarks from kayrun. The only bad thing? I finished my book last night so I wasn't able to start using one of them immediately. I'll post pics as soon as I find the camera-- don't remember where I packed it. Smiley

I received from Honeybeee yesterday and it is so cool & matches my bicycle perfectly:

I was thinking maybe it could work as an emergency bookmark as well for all those times when you resort to scraps of paper because you are starting a book on the go. Instead you could wear this bookmark as a bracelet and then whip it off into the book when the need arises...it may be a little crazy, but I thought it was clever.

And an action shot of all the bookmarks I have received so far:

Thanks so much Honeybeee.

The only pics I took of my bookmark for minuku were on my cell phone and I can't figure out how to make it talk to my computer (no internet on my cell). It was one of my favorites: an origami doll. Hopefully, she will post pics soon.

My phone has a little spot where you can plug in a camera cable, maybe yours does too?

Sorry I can't get it the photo to flip around, but the schrute buck is from RosyPosie which as I told her could not have come at a better time because I was having the worst possible day when I got home and found it in the mail.  I also brought it into my office and showed it off (since they're all guys and tease me about my crafting) they were all insanely jelous and apparently crafting isn't as dorky as some of them previously decided.....

the geisha which I also love since I mentioned my favorite book is memoirs of a geisha was from tree27

the one with the blue wrap around is from mouseatethekitty

and the blue and green braided one (it's very neat, but I'm a little worried to leave is out on the table lest the cats decide it was a present for them) was from honeybeee.

I love them all thank you so much guys and trust me my book collection loves you all since it will be spared some page dog earing for a while!

I forgot to take a photo of it, but it should be noted that the schrute buck is double sided and laminated and the back is equally as awesome as the front (it has beets and says in dwight we trust!)

That's no moon, they're bookmarks!

You've never heard of the Millennium Falcon? It's the ship that made the Kessel run in less than 12 parsecs.

May the force be with you my dear books...
