ooooh gimme gimme gimme!
jennie you are too awesome, first that killer snitch and now a sonic screwdriver?!?!

You have NO IDEA how hard it was to pack that one up and mail it.  I SOOOOO wanted to keep it!  I'll have to make another tomorrow when I make a tutorial for the Snitch one.

Jennie, what did you use for Ransom's two illustration style bookmarks? Are those scrapbook paper? Layered images?

They are actually images from a wall calendar from 2009.  I like to buy calendars with pretty pictures, then I can't seem to let them go later.  So I rubber cement (or archival glue) them to cardstock in a corresponding color, then chop them up on my paper cutter.  As for how I laminate them, I actually have a laminator too.  I found it at Aldi for $19 one week and knew it had to be mine.  (Seriously paper cutter and laminator are two of my best crafting investments to date!)  I just chop up the calendar pieces into 1"-2.5" pieces, depending on the images/size of desired bookmark, then throw them through the laminator.

I love when the gallery explodes with bookmarks!  I'm in love with all of them! Grin
Kiss A BIG THANK YOU to everyone who is posting pics and sending PMs Kiss

psst jennie....guess who is having a Dr. Who marathon this weekend Wink Cool

DH will mock me big time, but I think I'm going to start watching it all over again tomorrow.  Cheesy  (After all I have to take 2 trips for work for the next two weekends, so I might as well enjoy this one to myself!)

2 more bookmarks received:
first from bambii8899
 laying out flat
folded in half to put over the top of a page.  Love the sunflower fabric. oh wait, those are gerbera daisys
:-)   IT's so cheery and SUMMERy!!!!

from Camelama:

She stalked my WIST and found that I LOVE swirly trees (well anything swirly really), and she said in her note that she couldn't resist making a modified version. Look at the teeny tiny yellow bird on the branch.  Camelama, this is so ME!! I LOVE IT!!!!

Thank you ladies.  I am waiting on one more from How Lovely, but I know she's in Aussie so that package will probably take awhile to get here to the US and awhile to get to her.

YAY! Robinpich, I had *SO MUCH FUN* sewing that for you! Making those swirly branches made me giggle.  Cheesy  And I loved that print in your wists, so it was fun to work on a version of it.  I'm so glad you like it! I was worried about it being appropriate.

Finally, pics. Sorry, they are phone ones, I can't find the real camera, lol.

Crafty Butterfly sent the green one embroidered with "Live long and prosper" in gold. The back has some lovely blue and green Celtic-knot-ish print fabric.

A2JC4Life sent one with the original Enterprise over a pirate ship, which is magnetic. (Your hubby had perfect inspiration.) She also sent one with a couple quotes she likes. The front says "Always read something that will make you look good if you die in the middle of it." - P. J. O'Rourke. The quote on the back is "A man is known by the books he reads." - Emerson.

<= You will notice my quirky sense of ironic humor in the action shot with the quotes in a potboiler Grin .

Edit: change back to thumbnail. It all fit on without the scroll bar when I was composing it.

I received 3 lovely bookmarks in the last two days!  (Sorry, tried to post the first two the other night when I got them, only to have the Tornado Sirens start going off.  We had to retreat to the damp basement and by the time the sirens stopped I was falling asleep sitting up!)

First from the craft-tastic coryjo, an Outlander themed bookmark.  It was inspired by A Dragonfly in Amber, during which Claire and Jamie spend time in France.

(It includes snippets of a book in French, postage stamp of a French Gothic cathedral, and a playing card)

Next, from the wonderfully creative kanawinkie, I received a Tea & Crafting themed bookmark:

(Featuring quilting scrapbook paper, knitting & crochet diagrams, a teacup & lots of yarn.

Finally from the ridiculously awesome Ransom I received a lovely quilted bookmark, in a bright happy print.

She also included a pencil and a tiny button of the TARDIS:

Thank you ladies!  They are all lovely, and all VERY me.  Cheesy

jennieingram - so glad you liked it!!

Ps- I definitely meant to write that I received a "book thong" not a "book thing" from coryjo. So sorry for my clumsy fingers.

Ooh, talk about late to the party!
All of the bookmarks look so amazing! I'd love to stick any one of them into my books Smiley

I'm so anxious now to start getting mine! I'll be sitting by my mailbox ready to harass my postie tomorrow  Grin
