I used to paint my nails all the time but haven't for several months. For some reason I suddenly got the urge to paint them rainbow, and a google search brought up some great ideas, including one that was marbled with all the colors. It was my first time marbling nails so to make it easier on myself I did only two colors per nail. I looked at a bunch of tutorials then went for it without following any specifically, but if anyone wants a tut just ask and I'll find the link(s) I used.

It was really messy and took a couple tries to get the nail polish on my nails before it hardened on the water, but once I got the hang of it, it went a lot faster. The colors are a bit brighter in real life. I did a white base coat, then the marbling, then a clear top coat which I didn't have yet in these photos and unfortunately smudged the designs some  Sad

Anyone have any tips for not getting air bubbles like in the last pic?

Thanks for looking!

I've done this with oil paints before bc they sit on top of the water better. This looks super cute <3

Awesome job! I've done this by putting drops of different colours on my nail, then mixing with a bent paperclip. I think yours are prettier though, and the two shades of one colour works out very well Smiley

Thanks everyone!!

do you mean you used oil paints to marble your nails or just that you've marbled other things with them? if on nails... did it take long to dry and did you have to seal it a special way? I'd never think to use oil paint, interesting.

These are so awesome! I thought the air bubble was a gem... lol

haha no, but that's a pretty good idea for covering the bubbles, at least the ones that aren't in awkward places.

Wow these are fabulous! So bright and fun.
I've tried to marble my nails but it never works! I think my polish is too thin or something. It won't disperse in water right, nor set correctly. Boo!
