My raid leader thinks it will die out in a few months, but I really don't think Blizz will have much to worry about. Unless it's significantly cheaper.

I'm pretty impressed with it. I think it will be some serious competition for WoW. It has many similarities, but enough differences that it's not just a copy. I do they think they will need to add more content to stay in the game long-term. Everyone on a side has to go through the exact same zones/quests. There is only one starting area per side. Being an altaholic, that means i have done the same quests over and over and over whether on elves, dwarves or humans.

They may have gone a little over the top with faeries - but I love the styling of them. Perhaps i ought to do a series of hoops based on the Fae in the game?

I watched a couple of videos on Youtube about it. It looks interesting. What's the cost?

A lot of people are saying that the lore depth you get in WoW, you don't have in Rift.  But WoW had other games before it that built it's base.  If they keep going, Rift will get there. One thing they messed up with Aion is they took out so many features just to get the game on the shelves.  Aion was supposed to have three factions to begin with (I've always thought wow needed 3 factions! That would be so fun!). Rift is also similar because WoW really built expectations for MMORPG's.  Other games that have failed, have tried to completely redo everything and that proved not to be the best strategy.

Cost is $50 for the game and I think 10-15 monthly depending the payment plan you choose

I received today from Myrdda...but I've got a migraine and my hubby isn't awake yet to open his part of the stuff.  I'll post pictures later.

OK pictures!
The whole kit and kaboodle:

Stuff wrapped in pink is mine; stuff in yellow is for my hubby.
Soaps: hubby's is Undercity Rosemary and mine is Eversong Citrus.

LOL my hubby's main is an undead mage, and I have several BE's.
Hubby's loot:

That's a keychain/fob.  He's hard on everything he owns, so this will work well to stand up to his abuse!
I got a purple/silver chainmaille bracelet, and a mug/cup cozy (help me out here Myrdda, I think that's what they are) with the Sunreaver symbol on it.  I forgot to take pictures of mine though.  I am wearing the bracelet though, so its all good!

Finally:

My Blood Elf hunter, Ilyiana.  She's more "inspired by", but those armor sets can be hard to duplicate, especially with such a short time to work with!
Closeup of her helm and bow:

The helm and her hair didn't want to cooperate, so she'll probably go sans helm.  That's the way I have it set up on a couple of my toons anyway, since they are so pretty!  Besides, I LOVE her hair.
I didn't get a good picture of it, but you can kind of see it in the group shot.  There's also a gray crocheted cloche with a flower on it.  It's adorable!  I'm happy because it fits; I have a tiny head!
My dog loves swapping too...she was very eager to help me open the package.  She was sniffing it from the second I got it from the mailbox (actually under the mailbox...our box is a tiny wall mounted thing).  Come to find out it was the soaps she was smelling!
Thanks so much Myrdda!

I'm glad you liked it! I have such a hard time making armor! I made an orc for my husband that was horrid; this was better, but still not as wonderful as I'd like it to be for you. Still and all, I'm glad you liked it! As for the hat, I was REALLY worried it would be too small, so YAY for fitting!

I started the conversation on our next round. I thought that with the big packages, flaking and anxiety that was in this swap it might be nice to do a One Tiny Thing. Go join the conversation and let me know what you think! Here!
