This is a birthday present for my sister (finished in time, yay!).  I saw some awesome Teesha Moore bags a while back and thought I had to do one.  They're fun, but I am too ambitious in the embroidery, so it took forever.

front:

back:

screen prints are on some of the blocks - designs were drawn by me, my daughter, and my sister.

the sides and bottom are made out of denim I dyed.

a pocket!

another!

you may notice the pins... I took pics this morning before the lining and the outside had been sewn together.  When I had the light, but not the time to use the sewing machine (long story!) but rest assured, it is sewn now.

This rocks!  She'll love it.  I love that you printed the fabric yourself!!!!!!  It's great.  Just great!

Oh, very nifty! I've been wanting to try my hand at one of these myself. Time to dig into the fabric scraps!  Lucky sister indeed.

Neat-- I seem to have missed the stylistic transition from papercraft to fabric.  It's still not quite my sort of patchwork, but definitely looks like the kind of thing you and your sister would have fun with.  Smiley

Congratulations for making it all the way through the embroidery in time!
