i like it...i have some negatives i saved up for a lampshade but i never got around to it, and eventually turned it into the sign language lampshade posted on here.

(and the can is pretty cool too  Cheesy )

Very cool.  What kind of can is that?  Hmmm, now I may have to take a spin on your idea for my photo slide lamp...I've just been looking for a lamp in the thrifts with no luck.  Any tips?

It is a Fruitastica can. I actually got all the components for my lamp at Lowes exept for the base which I made out of wood. Good Luck! Grin

thats so cool i would love to make one like that for my room but i am really intimidated about messing with lamps lol!  i am scared of causing a big fire i even unplug everything before i go out lol!  how did you do it?  you did a great job is it safe? thanks for sharing!

Yes it is safe- I have been using it for about two years- I would suggest you go to Home Depot or Lowes and get someone who specializes in electrical wiring give you a lesson on how to assemble a lamp safely- I know for sure that they sell all the components at Lowes.

they sell them as lamp kits with all the parts you need and directions for how to put it together - its pretty easy, i've done several myself.

this reminds me of the sprite-lite i won at a friends chirstmas party. only yours is cooler! good job!
