Being a first time swapper I had no idea what to expect from this craft swapping business. But boy did MissCrafty29 do a wonderful job!  I am so pleased and happy with what I got that I opened the box, wore one of the fascinators at work, and the other one to a Home and Garden Show Gala in the evening.  Thank you so much!

First off when I opened the lovely box there was this wonderful jewel toned shadowbox with the old school illustrations that I like so much. I really love all the detail she put into this.  She must have been cutting very carefully with a knife. I have the perfect place to put it on my wall already.

Here is a close up

Next up was this neat mushroom booklet with my favourite quotes from Wonderland. It had this really cool dark brown thin paper in it, which felt like onion paper.

The next thing made me go "Squeee!"  a little! She made two fabulous fascinators, of which I have worn already.

One makes me look like the queen of hearts. LOVE LOVE LOVE.

The other is really cool it's two cards kind of splayed open like a butterfly. I wore this one to the Home and Garden Show and I got a lot of compliments. So not only do I like it but strangers too! NEat!

And the last thing ( you totally spoiled me) Is this cool clock.  Unbeknownest to my swapping partner, my DH has a penchant for clocks. He was totally like " how did she know I liked clocks? - She is good..." I really like this. Like reallllly. It looks so beautiful on my wall and I love that she made it from an old t-shirt ( the pattern is really beautiful) and it's so whimsical.

Thank you so much MissCrafty29 for such a clever and beautiful package! It's clear that you put a lot of effort in it and every bit was appreciated!

Oh YAY!!! I am SOOOO happy that you like everything and that it all made it to you, in one piece!! YAY!

The mushroom notebook has paper that is from recycled paper bags that I have been getting from my local scrapbooking store...Well, I was getting them, the lady switched to plastic bags Sad I also used my "special powers"' to find out that your hubby loves clocks...LOL!! That one was definitely a bonus, to have made something he can enjoy as well.

Oh, and as for the cutting with the shadow box, I used regular craft scissors. I can do a bang up job at things with tiny details and I usually just use regular craft scissors when cutting out tiny things.

Again, I am so happy you like everything!! It was great crafting for you and having you as a partner. I hope this was a good way to start of your swapping days Smiley

Thanks for sharing the how-to for the plates, DeSade13!  You should do a tutorial so it can be on the craftster blog...just sayin'.  Wink

Hmmm I have never done that. Perhaps I will - Will have to get some more plates, and maybe some other materials as well.

I love that shadow box. It has inspired me to make one with pictures from an Alice book I found cheap and some pictures from my Mad Hatter bridal shower.

The shadowbox is fab, and I have a severe soft spot for little note books, so that mushroom makes me very happy!
