On Wednesday my friend Julee and I threw a little surprise Valentine's party for the kids after school.  We put together a red and white themed party for under 30 dollars.  The best part is the almost everything was store bought, even the cake and cupcakes were from a mix.  So this party was cheap and quick to throw together.  We wrote up a detailed post about everything at our blog: http://diylouisville.blogspot.com/2011/02/diy-dessert-table-on-budget.html

Here are some of the features of the party

Red soda, that we decorated with scrapbook paper

cupcakes with suckers for toppers

strawberries filled with cheesecake filling

red velvet cake decorated with store bought candy on skewers

Thanks for looking-Kim

Super cutie! I like the mix in patterns a lot!

On the mom side, though, my brain flipped out about all the red dye! My little one can't have it so my brain instantly went "nonononononono!" haha

This is adorable! You did some great thrifty work here! I love valentine's day!!

I'm using a collection of milk-glass for my wedding centerpieces about a year from now... It looks like your cake stands are milk glass/milk-glass-esque...
