I got these ugly white flats at Walmart for $3, and I ended up not wearing them for their intended event, so I decided to remake them after seeing painted shoes on here. They turned out great, and they even hold up to wear! I posted a tutorial on my blog for how to make them.

The finished product:

This is super freakin' awesome! I wanna do this! I've seen those hideous shoes at walmart before and I just over look them. I think I'll be doing this project eventually (but different design even though yours is super sexy awesome). Super awesome! Good job!

I don't have any shoes that I don't wear because I only buy shoes that I think look good as is but now I'm definitely going to be looking for ugly shoes that have potential! I love shoes. And when I make the transformation, you'll be the first to see. Smiley

Wow! Nice transition.  I could also do this to old shoes that I have retired due to scratches, but has not disposed of. (I'm sentimental and thrifty.) Roll Eyes  Thanks for the idea! Wink

i am the same way; this pair of shoes and the other pair im fixing up were both bought for special occasions (christmas party, job interview) and i wouldnt wear them otherwise, but other than that i never buy shoes unless im in love with them. i had these all ready to go to the thrift store, but they seemed to have so much potential.

So cool and cute! You've inspired me to re-do some shoes I was going to give away.
