How Lovely
« on: February 10, 2011 03:27:34 AM »

This little guy is my first cross stitch, I know it's really really basic but it has taken two days of my life so I felt it deserved sharing Smiley It's a bookmark for my Great Nanna's 90th B'day as she reads ALOT Smiley  She is also getting a  cute little tea wallet Smiley Any way C & C more than welcome as this was my first and I have no idea if it is all correct but the pattern seemed pretty straight forward!

Also, this might be completely stupid, but I didn't want the edges to fray and I was way too exhausted to research how to stop that so I clear nail polished the edges... Stupid?

Soo cute!!!
and NO, NOT stupid to use clear nail polish to keep the edges from fraying, that's actually brilliant!! especially for a little small cross stitch! I've seen people bind the edges of larger cross stitches with ribbon or bias tape, which is cute but can be a little wonky.
Your Nanna is going to love it...happy b-day and congratulations to her!
Tell her not to whoop it up too much with the liquor drinks  Grin
