Before I go any farther with this idea, can one of the Swap Mods tell me if this fits within acceptable Craftster swap parameters?

I am thinking of a supply swap where a flat-rate Priority Mail box would be filled with supplies and sent to the second person on the list who would take whatever she wanted, add whatever she had to offer, and send it on to the next person on the list.  The last person would send back to the first.

That's not a straight partner-to-partner swap, but it's also not an "organizer sends everything out" format.

a) Would it be okay to organize this type of swap?
b) Is there any interest in this?
c) If you're interested, would you want to ship around a small box ($4.95) or a medium ($10.95, I think)?

I think the consensus is that we can't endorse a swap like this - sorry.

We really like the idea and think it's fun, but there are too many factors that aren't as predictable as a "normal" swap - the largest problem is that you could have someone flake midway through the swap and everyone else in the swap be affected.

Also, any swap that requires a chain of sending takes a really, really long time and ultimately, people would probably lose interest.

There are some existing supply swaps you should check out! There are frequent "fill a box" swaps that you may find fun!

If you have any questions, feel free to PM me or any of the other swap moderators. Smiley

Phooey.  I was afraid that might be the case.  Sad
