This dress is stunning. I would so love to copy it, but alas, it would draw too much attention to my already large enough hips. But you did a wonderful job on it!

Where did you find the instructions to draft the corset? Or have you studied pattern drafting before? Very beautiful work!

ahh! thanks everyone!  Grin
I really do love you guys  Wink

Never studied pattern drafting...I'm still in high school Tongue I just kinda winged? wung? (wingded?) it Tongue all of the tutorials online didn't tell you how to make the darts, so I just *attempted* to make them right, and after a few trials it turned out to fit perfectly Smiley

This is absolutely gorgeous! What pattern did you use for the corset?
I didn't use a pattern, I made this one

Not only is this an amazing piece, an amazing transformation, but also your photos actually helped me finally "get" pattern drafting at least a tiny bit!  It was so worth the higher thrift store price than normal to snag that material.

Thanks! Glad I could help, and I agree it was totally worth the higher price

Again, thanks everyone!  Your support means everything, and hopefully this summer I'm going to take some actual classes (so far I'm an autodidact)  Cheesy  You guys are awesome!!

Absolutely amazing. I wish I were smaller! The fabric is incredible, the detail on the front panel is really beautiful and I bet would be flattering at even larger sizes.

Well done.

Wow, the quality is stunning. I know a lot of girls who paid a leg and an arm for a dress similar to this for our school proms Tongue Too bad they didn't have your craftiness!
