I made this a while ago for the Faire Swap... and I had a really hard time sending it off! I fell in love with this pattern a long time ago and knew it was perfect. I plan on making one for myself out of some metallic gold yarn I bought super cheap... when I get some time! I don't have any action shots, only blocking ones. I did have a few problems with the pattern but it was my very first shawl so I'm not surprised! I also made a matching shoulder dragon with a safety pin attached (a free pattern I found on Ravelry!). For this shawl I used a white worsted weight wool mix with an iridescent thread running through it and a teal blue worsted weight wool mix. I can't remember the brand of either one!

This is a close up of the tail, the part that gave me the most trouble...

The little dragon. You can also see how sparkly the yarn is here!

Too cool!  I want to make one of those little dragons for myself and my husband's DM.  Paliden would love that little guy, and that shawl is beautiful!

Thanks so much guys!

I used this pattern for the baby dragon... I probably changed it a bit but I don't remember how!

And they are both still very much loved and worn. And If one more person tries to steel my shoulder dragon I will have to start carrying my sword around off the fighting field!
But him gets lots of pets from many a child as well as ohs from the adults.
I also love the look at the back of her shall from behind me when I am walking around.
