Great idea--I pretty much run a retirement home for old grannies and scrapghans! I can't resist them, and have found lots of ways to use them but that didn't occur to me!

Kinda funny:
I had a party here at the farm , and made what I thought was a pretty and inviting "ladies" area under a big oak outside. Guests ranged from 3 years old to 84, so lots of different folks were here.

I used our outdoor furniture and dragged out a coffee table and tufted ottomans and even a throw rug. I used the grannies and all of my "cutter" quilts on the furniture, to either wrap the cushions or hang over the backs--it was November, so chilly enough that wrapping up in a warm afghan with tea or coco was perfect for a chat. We're talking about 10 comfy spots, each with an afghan to curl up in

We also have a big deck and barbeque area with a table and snacks, I figured the guys would congregate there. Nope...after the first half hour, men ranging from 19-80+ were snuggled down in the afghans talking like they were at a quilting bee, while the ladies camped out on the porch!  Thats what I get for trying to predict based on gender!

being a blanket freak I kind of cringe at the idea of taking apart a blanket, especially a crocheted blanket, BUT I love that you are making new things from it and doing good with it. Nice work! puppets are super cute!
