Just look at that hideousness! Picked up this little gem for a mere $1.

My mom is having surgery tomorrow and so I thought I'd make her something for when she gets out.. Thus this was born:






Not a bad job for not having a pattern and hand sewing it (Im not a hand sewing type of person)

wow, that was a truly ugly tshirt! and a bargain! the bear is so cute! Im sure your mum will feel better for having him with her in her surgery! best wishes to her. and congrats on a fantastic job I really didnt think anything nice could come from that t shirt!  Cheesy

omg if i'd found that shirt i'd have bought it just so i could burn it in the garden cos thats too hideous to be allowed to exhist.

but the teddy you made is so darling and hand sewing......wow. (i hate handsewing seems.)

The bear is cute! And you did a wonderful job.

I just had to reply and admit that I had a shirt very similar to that when I was about 12 or 13 sooooo that would make it back in the mid to late 70's. STOP doing the math I'M OLD!  But that type of shirt was popular then. They looked like photographs on the entire garment and we thought we were SO cool. And the guys actually wore polyester long sleeve button up shirts with photo's on 'em. Roll Eyes

I guess I'm going to have to accept my total lack of fashion sense by admitting I really like that shirt.  I would wear it if it was longer.

Still and all, the bear was a really great idea.  Really cute, nice colors.   Wink
