Okay, so this is kinda recycled as it was given to me looking a little bit like it had gone through the wars. It was covered in layered of emulsion and needed stripping. The hinged needed to be replaced and it deserved a whole new look.

It was repainted using emulsion again (not normally something I would use of wood but they were the colours I wanted). I chose to mix a soft pink with a grey-purple shade. I covered the ghastly opening clasp with a butterfly motif. At least now is can sit on my shelf looking less of an eyesore.
