I've been having a hard time finding cross stitch patterns I actually like for myself.  It's easy finding ones I'd like to make for other people - the picture and finished piece is beautiful, but it's just not my style.   I tried using an online chart generator - but it came out to be 25 pages long!  Shocked  I think I need to play with that a little bit hehe.

Anyway.  Here's my first completed x-stitch project - although I did finish it about a year ago, I just got it scanned.   Still need to get it cleaned, ironed and framed...but hey at least I FINISHED something!   Grin

A funny story behind this though - I needed a new project to work on, so i called my mom to see if she wanted to go to craft stores with me.  I went into the bathroom before my mom got to my apt and saw my cat sprawled across the bathtub with his head down trying to drink out of the faucet...he's never done this before.   I thought "Too bad I can't get a camera fast enough for this" and then left.  We were looking through the cross stitch kits at Hobby Lobby and saw some black cat ones.  (yay!! both of my cats are black cats and I've always loved anything w/ black cats on them).  Most of the charts were computer related, which was cute, but eh, then I saw a pattern of a cat doing what Loki was JUST doing before I left!   I had to get it.   This is exactly what I saw that day before we went to the store (minus the sink).    Smiley

I love it. My sister is a huge cat fan. I was at a stitching fair with my mum and my mum decided to buy one of these and stitched it for my sister. The one she bought was of the cat after it had pulled down a Christmas tree. I'm not a fan of cats myself but loved those designs.

That is so cute and funny!  My cat goes for the sink faucet, but that's probably just because I leave the tub door closed.  Now I'm going to leave it open just so I can see if he does that!

There's one of a cat drinking out of the sink too...and eating out of the trash can....dipping a paw into a fish bowl...chasing snowflakes...all different kinds of things.   The designer obviously had cats   Smiley

Thanks for the link!  Back int he 70s, my grandmother made a snowcat that looks a lot like the one in one of the pictures.  I might need to cave in and make that one (and just when I was doing well on not spending more money on craft supplies Cheesy )

I Love these designs! My favorite I call cat butt because I can never remember the name of it. It's the one of the cat under the rug and all you see is his rear and string everywhere. You did an excellent job on your first project!
