Hey, sorry if I put this in the wrong place or if its a repeat. Let me know if it is. :/

Anyways I'm trying to figure out what to do for my boyfriend for valentines day.
I'm very, very uncomfortable with doing romantic cutesy things and he... isn't.
Last year for valentines day I baked him cupcakes, and he cooked me a romantic candlelit dinner. So I'm really determined not to be outdone again this year.

I'm really trying to come up with something kind of nerdy and kitschy and edgy but still expressing love.  So he thinks its sweet, but not that I'm mushy  Wink

Some background info:
He is twenty-one, I am nineteen.
He is a second degree black belt.
He loves star wars and video games.
He plays guitar (he was my guitar teacher- that's how we met)
We recently went on an awesome trip to the grand canyon.
he likes beer.

Some gifts I have given him in the past:
-an embellished cigar box with guitars mod podged on (someday I'll find pictures, it turned out way better than it sounds) with movie tickets/nice dinner gift card inside
-a zombie outbreak survival kit containing the survival guide, left 4 dead two, his favorite candy, ninja bandaids, and the lion king on dvd
-shot glasses etched with ships from star wars

Some ideas I'm considering:
-a frame with photos from our grand canyon trip (seems generic and easy though :/)
-boxers painted/embroidered with star wars things and sexual innuendos (but he's really picky about what boxers he likes, and his friends see him in his boxers often enough he might be too embarrassed to ever actually wear them)

Some things I can do:
-crochet
-paint
-photoshop
-embroider (simple stuff)
-sculpt (polymer!)
-sew simple stuff

Thanks for any help in advance!

Trying to think of simple things b/c the Valentine's Day weekend is in less than a week.

Embroidered guitar strap with painted guitar picks?  If you don't have time to sew and embroider a strap, buy a strap and embellish it.

Decoupaged storage box for guitar picks?

Honestly, I don't think there's anything wrong with the Grand Canyon pics.  If you wanted to make it more crafty, maybe you could make a scrapbook with Photoshop effects.
