Somehow I made it to age 24 without ever seeing one of the original Star Wars films. My sister's boyfriend introduced me to the films and the rest, as they say, is history.

I started this pretty much as soon as I got home after seeing the film and instead of waiting to buy some plain white cotton I just grabbed the nearest light-coloured fabric, I'm embracing the pink now, though Smiley Unfortunately it's a bit see-through but it looks better against the white walls

I'm looking for Simplicity 6340 (the 1970's sailor dress). PM me if you've got a copy to swop or sell! Cheesy

Amazing work, the stitching is fantastic but I must say... the hearts make this piece for me, oh and the little pink bow! I <3 it!

Hehe, thanks Smiley I'm not really a cutesy person but some things just need to be surrounded by hearts and bows, all the clones wanted was a hug Wink

And patterned fabric is awesome, I am in awe of the people who are brave enough to use dark patterns.

I love this!! I agree that the poor storm troopers need some hugs... Smiley Also, if you ever wanted to hang it on a not-white wall, it usually works to put a circle of white felt in the back of the hoop! A few dots of fabric glue should do it, or maybe a couple of tiny stitches?

ETA: Silly me, there is already a great tutorial for this!

I had the mental image of a sweet old woman working tirelessly to create this while her dear grandson/stormtrooper fights away....

So that means it's awesome.

Hehe, thanks \m/ (><) \m/

I think I might order another hoop and try Darth Vader Smiley

Oh, and thanks for the tip about the white felt. My excuse it just plain laziness with this one I'm afraid, I will give it a go next time though Smiley
