This is fantastic! My best friend used to be obsessed with Little Mermaid when she was small, she'd have killed for this room (no I'm not kidding Tongue).

Mad props!

Thank you so much for all the wonderful comments.  To answer some questions I used regular wall paint for the water and the sand, but all the detail work I used regular acrylic paint.  As for the time... i honestly have no idea.  It was done in 2 hour bursts due to the fact that I had my son with me and he was around a year old when I  was painting it.  By the time I was done he hated that room. He would cry everytime we pulled in the drive way . The ceiling isn't finished I have plans to go back this summer and paint it too.

I would have killed to have a room like this as a child. All I can really say is... WOW! I think it's the best baby room I've seen in a while and that includes mine. (2 mth old). It's absolutely stunning! What a wonderful idea getting the family to pick fish to represent them.

Shocked That is amazing! You are so talented, I'm totally jealous I wish I could have had a room like that growing up! That is one lucky little girl I'm sure she will love her room for a long long time.

Wow, this is gorgeous! I have two little girls and would LOVE to make them something like that but we live in a tiny miny apartment and all the walls are covered with furniture Tongue But when we move to a bigger place...
