So, I've been unemployed for quite a while, and when it comes down to gifts for the hubby, like Valentine's day, I always resort to something homemade.
He loves handmade stuff as well, so it's always a win/win situation. Smiley

This year, he requested that I make him something Doctor Who related, and so, the idea came about for me to make him a Tardis pillow.
Let me first say that I have a wonderful sewing machine that my mom got me, and I haven't used it nearly as much as I should. I am by NO MEANS a wonderful sewer.

That being said, I must say, I'm pretty darn proud of this! I learned all kinds of new things about my machine, and I don't think I'm afraid of it anymore!
The stuffing is a little bit lumpy, but I think that'll straighten out. It's about 19 inches by about 14 inches. BIG!

C&C welcome!!
Thanks for looking!

aw thats so nice! I think my hubby would love that for valentines day, I'm also doing homemade gifts this year, I think I'm making him cookies....  Huh I havn't had much inspiration but I know he likes to eat  Grin

well done with the machine stitching, I love my sewing machine but I still think I'd proably sew something like that by hard just because I'm still not that good at controlling the sewing machine, it tends to run away with me! Undecided Undecided

great stuff :-)

I love the pop art-type style of your pillow, it's wonderful! Plus the fact that it's Doctor Who related makes it even more wonderful. Smiley

Currently interested in doing a personal swap, I'm thinking retro-look/rockabilly clothing. Let me know if you'd be interested. ^_^

Thanks a lot guys!! I must admit that I was a bit nervous to post it because there's so many awesome sewers here on Craftster, and I'm just no where near as good as most of them. lol
