This is my first Topic Post on Craftster and I'm new here so please be nice.  Smiley

I've been in a needlepoint mood after I crocheted myself silly making Christmas gifts so I dug up an old project I haven't seen in years.

When I was about twelve I picked up a really tacky needlepoint kit at a garage sale for 50 cents. It didn't even have the original box. It was in a clear bag with the yarn, needle, and canvas and that was it. I ended up working on it for about a day or two and then was forgotten and misplaced during the move. We'll, I finally found it about twelve years later.

Below are my progress pictures. I finally finished it late Monday night as I was determined to finish it before I went to bed!

Progress: Day Three

Now, I have no idea what to do with it since I think it is utterly tacky. Any ideas would be great! I was thinking a pillow or a bag but I wouldn't use either...

More pics on my blog: Creative Alchemist!

Thanks!

I like how the blue leaf looking thing looks like it's the purple birds mohawk.

Aw, that's awesome! Tacky but awesome. Wink I think it would make an awesome reusable grocery bag! I personally don't mind packing my groceries in the craziest bags possible. It's not really a purse so it doesn't have to match your own style. Smiley

Thanks. That was the part I did when I was twelve. I think it was supposed to be light purple.

I think it's beautiful... If you don't like it, there are people who would....
How about framing it? You could staple it to a board first.

I may give it away since I'd never use it.

Thanks! It took a good two and a half weeks to finish it. I'm glad it's finished.
