Hi!

I've got about 50 coasters from Germany from oh, 30 or so years ago that my boyfriend's Dad collected whilst living there. I took half of his collection away from him with the promise of making something for his "man cave" out of them, instead of them just sitting in storage in a plastic bag.

The problem I have is that all the ideas I can think of seem a bit hokey.

Any ideas?

Sounds like a nice idea, but you didn't mention if they are paper coasters for drinks, beers, etc. or ceramic.  My husband is from Germany and we have both kinds. We have a lot of the paper ones from pubs, and what I did with them was decorate a big cork board and display them there. This way, we both have the memories and it is so cute on the wall above where we display our German Steins.
