I save lots of little bits of paper. When I saw these I knew it was a good way to get rid of some of that stash :-) I spent $1 on the box from Michael's and $1 on the deck of cards, so this project gets my "bang for the buck" award for sure. If you have some paper scraps & $2 this is an easy and heartfelt Valentines gift. I was thinking of making one for fathers/mothers/grandparents day from everyone, letting the kids do some of the pages too..... I've only seen these put together with rings, but I went with ribbon to add to the shabby chic feel. I knew the box I was putting it in was tall, so I didn't skimp on the layering and embellishments.
The box. Mod Podge and scrapbook paper. The darker color is walnut distress ink mixed with matte mod podge on a sponge brush.
Interior lid & cover. The key fits the key hole on the front of the box. It's just decorative but i like that it fits <3
Inside cover & 1st page. She really does pay attention to what I'm working on, so that's only about 1/2 acting
She loves cupcakes & I love to cook
She works hard supervising remodels & new store set ups for them so the revisions to the logo is apt - she deals with lots & lots of signs.... (and please skip the rant if you hate the company. I understand, really)
I;m really enjoying vellum stickers latley. They blend so well with almost anything.
