Such an amazing quilt!!!  It is definitely something your son will treasure forever.  He is fortunate to have a mother who would but so much time and effort into a gift for him!

That 'thud' you heard was my jaw hitting the floor.  I had just picked it up after seeing this amazing quilt, and then it hit the floor again after reading it only took you 2 months!  Fantastic job!

Oh, and when I read your unironed pajama comment, my first thought was 'she must be British'.  In my twenties, I'd been an au pair for 4 different families.  The 3 families that had a British parent had me ironing everything.  I couldn't understand it.   I'm American; we iron dress clothes, end of story.  One family had me ironing towels.  Towels!
