I made this for Striker923 for the Legend of Zelda swap.

This is baby Epona, a horse that's featured in a number of Zelda games. I specifically took my inspiration from the version in Ocarina of Time.

The pattern is a hybrid of the "Clop and Ali" pattern and AprilDraven's pattern from Etsy.

This is my first crochet project, and it was a lot of fun. I think I'll be making a lot more of these ponies, it's such a cute pattern!  Cheesy

And the reference image (I tried to capture all the details, like the long hair on her hooves and the white mark on her forehead):

Thanks for looking!

That's awesome! And for a first crochet project it's double-y so. I just want to squish her. I love Epona!

Hey, thanks! And thanks for making such an awesome pattern (the shaping of the head, especially--it really makes the pattern great).

Your welcome, and thanks for posting pics. My daughter loves Epona I haven't even thought about making one. Now she might be getting one for her birthday  Wink

This is awesome, it really looks like her. Do you have a Link and Zelda to go with her?

Not yet.

Actually, since she's young Epona (still living on Lonlon ranch), I was thinking I should make a young Malon doll to go with her. (for something a little different)

The only Epona I know of is the Celtic horse Goddess, but still this is really nice! Well done. Smiley
