Good news.  Looks like I won't be dying this weekend, lol.  I spent a good five + hours today between the dyeing and first part of assembling.  Should only take a few more hours to do the second part of the assembly and then finish it off.  I hope it is "awesome" enough.  My kids are excited about it, so that has to count for something.

SMLoundsbury, please do not untimely die!

lol, I promise to try not to.   Wink  Though I'd love to see my hubby freak out when he's left with all three of our kids for a day.    Tongue

So far, so good this time.  I think the wonder under was the demise of the last try.  Sometimes, hand drawing directly onto fabric is much better than relying on piecing together wonder under...  I don't mind the smell of fruit in my kitchen either.  Wink

Oh my gosh!  I am SOoooooo curious! I love that your kids are excited about it -- it must rock!!!   I have a bit of hand-sewing to do and then I will ship!

lol, A2K, so far it has involved dyeing, sketching and lots and lots of sewing... Wink  I'll be finishing it up tomorrow evening after a last minute trip to Joann's to get two more elements of the piece.  I thought I had enough of the one thing (but I didn't) and I need to get the other thing because there is no way I'm going to make that part myself, lol.  I hear that's the hardest part of my project... Still, I am going to be sad to pack it up.

finally got the hardest part done.  Just trying to decide if i have enough time to learn a new technique or if i should just purchase the part i need.  My back seems to be okay with my sitting for longer than half an hour.  or at least it allowed me to do so today.  we'll see how i feel tomorrow before i go to the store.  I think i'll be able to send on time.

I am so close to being done!  My kids have declared this afternoon that if A2K doesn't like it, that they want it back, lol!  Nicholas, my 8 year old, wants me to trace it and make him one...  I have to say that I've really pushed myself with this one.  And my machine...  We lost a needle today.  I think it was because I didn't change it soon enough.  I put my machine and needles through hell.  I think this swap will give me the biggest swap anxiety I've ever had because I've literally put my soul into making it.

Well, now I'm SUPER worried because I am not sure I'm worthy of soul-invested crafting!    Embarrassed

I beg to differ.  This project is just feels very fitting of you.  I'm just hoping I can finish it perfectly.  Plus, it has to be awesome and if I phoned it in, it wouldn't be awesome enough.  Wink
