I made it first with watercolor paper, orange ink on the edges, misted with walnut ink, stamped in burgandy with "eleven" in 3 different fonts, overlapping in different directions, then the buttons on book paper tinted peach.  When it was all together, you couldn't see the 11.  for some reason the combo of collors was all too "orangey" and even with all the texture and words it just looked like one random buttoney card.  So I re made the background without all the elevens, cut out the button 1's and reassembled.  Much better.  haha

Here's an idea:  Think of a mat for a picture frame.  You could hand cut a big one with 30 (or however many you want) openings.  You could put your large picture behind it and slide the ATC's in the slots and remove them as the days ticked by?  Maybe put it in a large frame (minus the glass) on an eisel?  Issues: 3D cards, storing the cards as they are removed and before you are done with the entire thing.

rec'd this beautiful watercolor from sabrinalouisemiller! using my 'watercolor' them she used watercolor paints and also incorporated 'water' and 'color' into the card. she also used my 'vintage pin-up' theme -the suit she is wearing was inspired by a suit in a catalog from the 1920's! so pretty! the colors are fantastic!

thanks again sabrina!

So, I'm posting these here for blupaisan because she posted them in the March gallery instead of the February gallery.   Cheesy

First, for the theme "surprise", a hand-drawn ATC entitled "Wee Little Baby".

And last, for her gardening theme, another hand-drawn ATC entitled, "A Flower is for Picking: Window Box Garden".

I hope you don't mind my adding this second post for you, blupaisan.   Grin

I received a beautiful ATC from Ramona Q on my theme nudes, ATC title "Nudes".

About it she says, "I got the image from a book I found about an artist.  I ripped out all the pages I wanted and tossed out the rest.  So I have no idea who the artist is or what the picture is about!  I created the blue colour background by spraying food colouring on the paper."

Ooo.  I love learning about the creation process!

This is such a lovely ATC!  I love the mystical, fantastical aspect, and the nudey peoples all huddled together in the middle of some dramatic merman seizing of beautiful lady scenario.  Think of all the stories you could come up with about the picture!

The water droplets on the top left and bottom right are 3D and the coloring of this is beautiful, as well as the nudey subjects!

Thanks for the wonderful ATC, Ramona Q!   Grin

There is a space between 'Ramona' and the 'Q'

I'm glade you liked your card WideEyedLife. It was really fun to make.

I received some ATC today!

The one on the left is from ENGRbyDAY and is called "Sally Takes a Walk." My theme was retro little people by fisher price.

The one on the right is from Suereal and is called "My science project got me expelled." It is a combo theme of medical oddities and cats.

The next card I received is from Sabrinalouisemiller

It is the ink and watercolour orange cat titled "Ginger Cat." I love him, he looks just like my cat

The ATC on the right is from the March swap. I got confused and thought it was part of the Feb one. Oops!

Thank you all so much, I love the ATC you made for me!

I received my last ATC for February. It is from my food/cooking/kitchen theme. AmandaBL made a little Sangria recipe. Thank you so much!
