I have always wanted to make a poppet and had the idea of an Hermione one for my Harry Potter obsessed friend as I thought the basic poppet looks like I imagine her to look like when drinking the polyjuice potion  Tongue  Here she is all finished off in her school uniform, its a uniform from my mind rather than anything that is in the books or films (not trying to be accurate! Tongue)

I made her a robe, shirt, skirt and scarf and used the patterns available on the poppet thread with some alterations as my poppet is a little big boned and big handed.  I made the scarf from felt with some gold squeezy paint as it is proper gold colour and if I used felt stripes then I knew it wouldn't have the same shimmer.  The robe is made from black cotton with a shiny satin lining in the hood in Gryffindor red!

The skirt is my favourite bit, I used grey felt as I wanted to use fabric I already had if possibleand put some hooks in the back along with a split for the tail.

The shirt caused nightmare and I spent an afternoon making sleeves that had to be resigned to the bin as they just didn't fit over my poppets big old hands!  Made from some cream coloured sheeting fabric I had already.  I used poppers on the shirt with vintage mother of pearl buttons (though you can't tell in the pictures) over the top which were my grans.  My friend really appreciates buttons so I'm sure she will like these,

My poppet herself has loopy hair which is for 2 reasons, 1) it frays like a b893h and keeping it in loops will stop that and 2) Hermione is supposed to have huge, wild hair anyway!  Naked pic!

Side pic so you can see her cute opposable cats tail.
