SIGN UPS FOR THIS SWAP ARE OPEN!!!

http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=374565.msg4412180#msg4412180

******************************************************************************

CHANGED IDEAS!!! Please read my post on page 4 for more info!

This is going to be different than any other swap that I've seen and almost kind of ties in with the Amilie swap that I've been interested in doing.

So, the idea is that right after partners are announce you'll have a week to make and send one small item.

A week after that another small item.

The third week you will send a small and a letter telling them who you are.

Of course stalking is HIGHLY encouraged. You are not limited by this list, you can send as much as you want, these are just the minimums.

To assure that you remain somewhat anonymous you will not receive from the same person you are sending to,  and you'll label the send and receive address as your partners. Of course you can't get around postmarks, so we'll just have to overlook that part and promise each other to ignore it and just enjoy the R.A.K.s and surprises.

I will have to abstain from having a partner, since I'm organizing everyone elses partners and I'll know who all is sending to who.

Anyone interested?

If you had a co-organizer, you could participate, shylittlegoddess. I organize one of the types of Secret Santa swaps and I randomly break up the participants into two groups but my co-organizer is in the group I take care of and I'm in my co-organizer's group that she takes care of Smiley It sounds like a wonderful idea, but I can't participant in any larger than 44 cent swaps for a little while... boo...

Oooh co-organizer... Why didn't that cross my mind???

I could break up the groups by name. If your Craftster screen name starts with A-M reply to me N-Z reply to Co-Org!

I'd love to participate but of course I'm looking at some pretty big swaps coming up pretty soon.

That said, if you wanted to make it less easy for people to figure out who their partner is, instead of splitting it up my the alphabet you could randomly group people by numbers. Like the first 2 that sign up are in group one, the next 3 in 2 and so on until the groups are even... of course not letting any one know what the pattern is.

It'll help make it more difficult for people to figure out and easier for you to to keep things secret. Cheesy

I love this idea! I wish I wasn't broke! I could possibly do this, but not immediately...

Really love the idea, though!

This sounds so great!!! My uni accomodation did this and it was so much fun!!! I'm guessing it would be way too hard to do as an international swap though? The times wouldn't work out Sad

I really like the idea of this and would totally join!

If done internationally (given that I'm in Canada, I hope it is), I think it would be a good idea to try to partner people in the same countries up since their letters/packages will probably arrive faster (and should generally cost less to send). But, then again, it could also be more fun to be partnered with someone far away despite a potentially longer wait.
