I made curtains for my living room. I have resisted having them, but for 2 reason I concluded that I needed them. One, you can see through my blinds at night, and two, Milou has decided it's his job to stare out the window and bark at anything that moves. Also, I only have single glazed windows, so it may help keep it warm in here.

The problem is that I have 5 windows, so even cheap fabric adds up, and finding 10 matching panels that I like in a thrift store  is almost impossible.

So, I was in Target and found some clearance shower curtains, and voila! I cut them in half, sewed a rod pocket, and made curtains for $21! It would not have been my first choice of fabrics but I quite like it. I will have to get used to how much darker the room seems, but it will definitely give me privacy, and hopefully some bark-prevention.

Here they are:

Thanks! I am considering hemming them to windowsill length (mainly so the cats can look out). What do you guys think?

Love the curtains!!  Wink  A little off subject, but is your dog's name Milou or Milo?  I really think I should change my son's name- apparently it's a dog's name.
