I think you did very well for a beginner!
I bet you will become better and better with more practice.
The middle pastel one is my favorite.
The shapes are done very well and the blended colours of the terra cotta pot are perfect!

If this is your beginning, you are showing a sense of colour and material! Well done.
Prettiest to me is the purple lily.

Looking forward to your development cos these are very pleasant to look at.

You're doing great for a beginner.  I can see a great start here.  Keep practicing, you just might be surprised at how much you'll progress.   Smiley  I really like the chalk pastels, you did a great job blending and keeping your colors bright.  Keep an eye on balance in your composition, that's the only suggestion I would make.  Smiley

Wow thank you all for the positive response. Smiley I have one more session of chalk pastel then 4  of pen and ink...then I'll be on my own...very daunting prospect. How do you keep your inspiration / motivation?

Lovely. The iris is very nice, and the orange. They are my favorite. No criticism of any kind here, they are beautiful and I hope you are enjoying your class and drawing. Smiley
