gala_apples, love that biology-themed postcard! Of course, as a biologist, I'm biased! Smiley

Haven't been home the past couple days, but I expect I got the last package from Sonjaboo....so I can't wait to get home and check the mail! And I'll post some photos as soon as I can (tonight or tomorrow).

Here's the wonderful package I got from Sonjaboo!

The first two cards were made with this technique using alcohol inks on glossy paper. Sonjaboo, you have to tell me how you did that!

The next two cards were made with lovely papers and featured birds. They turned out super cute!

And finally, she made this last card with a pull out tab saying thank you. I love that!

Thank so much for a great package, Sonjaboo! Smiley

Hooray! I'm so glad you like them! I had a lot of fun making the cards for this swap.  (And I realized how much paper I have... yeesh!)

And if you're interested in alcohol inks, here's a rundown: Alcohol inks are really, really fun to play with. They do best on a glossy paper, but you could use them on things like metal or glass as well. (And the grungeboard stuff that Ranger makes.)  Basically you have a little dabber with a piece of felt on the end and you squirt a some of your alcohol ink on it, then dab along the paper.  I used a few colors on each card, and then used the blending solution to sort of meld them together. Then I did some straight dots of ink right from the container, and those dots spread out and made funky shapes. You get some really great colors with the alcohol inks and they are super easy to use!  If you get some to play with, wear clothes you don't care about (and don't wear jewelry on your hands that you care about) as the stuff stains big time. They also have a rather strong smell, so try to work in an area with a bit of ventilation.  I think you'll really enjoy them if you get some to experiment with! Cheesy

I got MareMare's cards today. They're all sewn, and they have a blue/purple/orange theme, which are my favourite colours  Grin

I love the idea of using fabric to sew cards! They turned out great, MareMare!
