Due to crappy events of the last few months this is my first post since...August??! Anyway...
A girl at work asked me to make her 2 sock monkeys...I'm kind of a beginner sewer, but here they are, in all their glory!
(Sorry for the crappy blackberry pic, can't find my camera cord)

Pointers welcome, but please be gentle, I'm a bit of a newbie.

These are so cute! I've always wanted to try sock monkeys, but I too am a newbie sewer/stitcher.  I love them! Did you use a pattern?

I found a great tutorial online:


The first one was a big time learning experience but the second one I managed to make in about an hour. My hand sewing skills are weak at best so sewing the arms and tail on was a bit difficult but I think they came out pretty good!

Awww these are really good  Smiley do you have a tutorial for these i would love to have a go. I am not the best at sowing mind you lol.

Great job for your first sock monkeys! Very cute, alittle diferent from the ones I've made. Might have to try this one. After the first one it's get easier & the more you make. Keep it up, like to see more of what you make. Thanks for the great tute!!!!  Wink
