I feel like I have such limited time...I had to make a choice fast!  so I picked one and am going with it...i may have to re-do some of it as I go...I have already done each stitch 2xs! LOL!!!
I like it a lot!  & I thought even if it goes wonky and I have to start over I can give to slightly off one to my sis or daughter! LOL!   so it will all work out!

good luck picking-always a hard part for me!

I have picked the design I'm going to use for kwiltykate, but as I was waiting for the page to load I was considering another possibility. But will probably stick to the original idea. Just need to wrap up this other swap and I can start. Can't wait, I love the portableness and pick up/put down nature of hoops compaired to sewing machine projects.

QUESTION:
would you be secretly miffed if one of the diptych hoops you recieved was super small (2 in)

I've got an idea, but I'm not sure, I'm thinking about using an oval hoop (6 1/2in at widest part) and a teensy 2 inch one to go with it... it works in my head as a concept with the design, but would that annoy you if you recieved that?

kudos to anyone whose successfully keeping up with this thread.

x G

No, I think that size of hoops together would be darling, depending on the overall theme.  Since this is a "choose whatever size" round, an oval and a 2 " teensy hoop would be cute!  I have plans for a large hoop and a smaller hoop for bsonlytoots IF my plan works out hahahaha...
gonna start on it this weekend.

I think you should as your partner if they have a size preference, and if they don't than I bet it would look awesome!

Just think of the last round (OTT) its not the size that matters. Its the awesomeness of it! You can do some cool stuff in small sizes.

Wow, you could do a whole wall mural on a 12" hoop!  Wink

Some ideas were percolating around in my head, but but I was trying to figure out how to tie two hoops together (figuratively, not literally...or will they be?).  And then AHA! both hoops just came to me!
Now to get from my head onto fabric - but not until AFTER I finish my IYP swap!

Good thing we have time! Now to my idea down before I forget...

Looking for a vintage magazine (1974 - 1978) that has a fabric nativity set w/ people and animals. An example: http://www.craftster.org/pictures/showphoto.php?photo=440861&ppuser=143144.
