I told myself I was going to limit swaps to two at a time, but I really wanted to do a set of hoops when I did round 2, so I have to sign up for this one!

Everyone dealing with that psycho snowstorm be careful!  Stay warm!  In fact...  stay inside and practice your stitching while you avoid the crazy snow!  Wink

I second that! Be safe, everyone!

I saw this on Craft: Daily today. It's not an embroidery hoop but still a cute stitching idea so I'm passing it along...

I am right in the middle of the psycho snowstorm and I am happy to announce that I practice stitched all night and didn't lose power!

I live in the one state the storm didn't hit apparently, and strangely enough, that state is North Dakota, land of snow! So no practice stitching at home for me. I want to start stitching now!  Grin

I live in DC and while we did not get snow the weather people are calling for this to be the warmest day of the year so fair, highs in in mid 40's to low 50's weather is a odd duck.

and to those practicing your stitches in the snow, if your power goes out don't get to close to that candle... cottons burn really well, I'm not going to tell you how i know that personally.  Embarrassed

My part of Wisconsin got nailed. The snow's higher than the bumper of my car, and the people my landlord highers are no where to be seen. I won't be going anywhere for a while. I just hope they show up and clear the parking lot sometime before tomorrow (they seem to take 2-3 days to show up), but even if they do, the city street isn't cleared either. Yay!

I might also mention that if you use one of those magnifiers that goes around your neck and you sit outside in the sun to stitch because the light is so much better...you may want to be careful about the angle at which the sunlight hits the magnifier (beneath which is your cotton fabric).  What compels me to make this cautionary statement?  I'll never tell!  Lips sealed
