I'm not sure I'm at this point yet, but is this ok:

if, as an organizer, i have a swapper who has stopped communicating for quite some time, is it ok to contact the organizers of other swaps that he or she is currently involved with to see if they've heard from the incommunicado swapper?

First, email and PM the swapper yourself. I say something like "Just checking in to see how you're doing. Is there anything I can help you with - posting, posting photos, sending, etc. Please message me as soon as you can."

You can peek at the swapper - go to his/her profile page and Craftster tells you when he/she has last been on the site.

And try to give the swapper a little leeway - crashed/stolen computer, family crisis, weird crafting emergency. You never know what's going on.

Absolutely, it is okay.  I go ahead and send the swapper a PM and an email, but I also send the organisers of the other swaps a short PM asking if they've heard from the swapper - sometimes it heads off a bigger issue. Smiley

What if you have a swapper who either is not currently in other swaps or is a first time swapper? Let's say you've tried PM'ing, email and checking Craftster boards - what suggestions could you make that you could try after that?

If their partner hasn't sent, I'd ask them to hold off on the sending. If they have, and you've tried all the contact methods you've got, wait until it's time to call on an angel. hopefully they'll turn up in the time between that happening.

You can also try emailing them directly as well.  Each signup SHOULD include the participant's email address and that way, even if they're not on Craftster, they should see your email. Smiley

I've tried email.... so far not so good. Will try a couple more times before the end of the 2 week date - fingers crossed this person has just had a problem or something and will get in contact soon.

Definitely be in touch with your swap organizer so she can help address specific problems.  Also, please open a help desk ticket if we can help you with anything specific - otherwise, we need to keep things general here. Smiley

I will - I just wanted to make sure there wasn't anything else I could do outside of what I said. Thank you
