February 4th is "Thank a Mail Carrier Day!" Here's what I made for mine:

I have to give partial credit to Dharma Rebel. I mentioned the "holiday" in the Hoopla Swap and she shot back that she should make her mail lady a hoop and *inspiration* this was imagined and created. It didn't take long. I found it soothing.

That there is some meticulous satin stitch! You make me feel like a slacker, Jexx. I need to get to work. My mail carrier cannot be forgotten!

Your satin stitch is sooooo amazing, I'm very jealous of your mail carrier for recieving such a gift! It's beautifully done.

Hey thanks you guys!
You know, we got a little snow today and guess what: the mail still hasn't come yet. It's 5:30! If they aren't delivering just because of a little snow (and by little I mean little) then I might just not give this to my Mr Mail Man this year. But then what would I do with it?

You could hang it on your window with a sign that says, "If you really delivered through rain or sleet or snow, this could be yours. Keep that in mind for next year." ... JK! I'm sure you're not that evil. Cheesy

TOO funny! I'd be tempted. Although, if you want your future packages to arrive on time and undamaged, that might not be a good idea.

That's very tempting, though I think it might confuse him. And how do you know I'm not that evil? That's actually something I would do. Wait, why do you call it evil?!

Dharma's right, though, tempting the mail carrier is not what I want to do.

Dharma PMed me asking if I gave it or not and I figured I would share here.
I did end up putting this out in the mail, in a big enveloped that just said "To: My Usual Postman" and inside it just had a note that said "Thank YOU!" with it. He didn't say anything about it, but the blinds were open when he came that day and the look on his face was very confused. Like "Why am I getting mail from this crazy lady?" He didn't open it, he is one of the ones the actually walks the neighborhood so his hands were full, but I was amused nonetheless. I don't think he will say anything about it, but he is a nice man so I'm glad I gave it to him.
