I love those embroidered fish! The texture of the different stitches and fabrics is great.

I'm so glad you like everything, jemimah! It was my first time embroidering on silk - I cam see why you like to use it! I'm hoping my package from you is waiting for me when I get home tomorrow! Oh and the necklace looks great on you! Thx for the action shot!

Looking for a vintage magazine (1974 - 1978) that has a fabric nativity set w/ people and animals. An example: http://www.craftster.org/pictures/showphoto.php?photo=440861&ppuser=143144.

My fabulous package from jemimah arrived today!  Everything is incredible!!

Here's the box (I managed to restrain myself from tearing everything open long enough to get a picture of everything all wrapped up nice and pretty Smiley ):

First up, a beautiful little needlebook and an amazing leaf shaped mug-rug - too pretty to put a mug on!

The back side of the mug rug and some gorgeous yarn in an alpaca/merino blend!!  Can't wait to find something to knit or crochet with it!

Look at this adorable little garden pincushion!

A gorgeous cabled, slouchy hat in a fabulous color!

And then, prepare to be amazed once again by jemimah's embroidery skills!!
yes, it's a 3-D dragon hoopla!!!!

Isn't he gorgeous!?!?  The wing can be moved into any position!!

And look at the detail in his face!!!

The whole package:

Thanks so much for swapping with me Kirsten!!!!

I'm so happy you like everything Karen!! I was a bit nervous about living up to the awesome package you sent me!!

Did you see that your little pincushion garden has a worm in it too? Wink

Oh, and I forgot to mention, the other component of your yarn is genuine NZ possum fur - super-warm, and it is an eco-friendly fur (I'm a softie vegetarian, but it really is one fur that is very good to use).
