I have made exactly one quilted thing in my life-- a table runner that was constructed during a quilting class looong ago. So this table quilt (made to keep my coffee table from getting more scratched up) was a big undertaking for me. I winged the whole thing, which I'm very proud of even though the design is so simple it will probably make you experienced quilters weep with boredom. :-D

Great job!  Great idea, too.  I'll have to keep this in mind.  I love the lime green in the middle. It really makes it pop.

This is beautiful.  The design looks simple, but the reverse fabric order gives it real life and movement.  It is beautiful and perfect for the intended purpose.
