I got a baking enthusiast as a secret santa recipient over Christmas. She didn't have an apron, so I made her one out of recycled fabrics. The sheets are vintage and I used lace and the cute polka dot fabric from an old dress. It doesn't use any of the old seams nor details, so I don't think I can consider it reconned.

My favorite part is the top band. Since it's made out of lace, it overlays whatever you're wearing underneath and makes it a different apron for every use!

I also embroidered a little heart on the pocket. It was my first attempt at embroidery. I just used plain thread, but it turned out okay.

I was actually incredibly pleased with how this turned out. It's the highest quality of anything I've ever made. There are no raw seams, it's lined and topstitched and reinforced. She loved it, so mission accomplished!

That's lovely. I really like how you incorporated the lace - it makes it very feminine and pretty.  Awesome work!

And your embroidery looks great!

I'm sure your secret santa loved it!
