This was the first time I have made my own Pav.
I mean I cook just about everything and I adore Pav but this is the first time I have made my own.....it certainly won't be the last

First make your pav.

take 4 egg whites and beat till soft peak form.
gradualy add in, whilst beating, 1 cup castor sugar, make sure you do it slowly.
after about 10 - 15 mins rub a little mixture with your finger tips to see if the sugar has disolved.
Now fold in 1/2 tablespoon of cornflour and 1 teaspoon of white vinegar
The important thing here is to taste it and make sure it is good, but beware you may loose half you mixture as you continue to check the quality of the mixture.
place some greaseproof paper on a biscuit tray and damp it down, then spoon you mixture onto this in a circle shape. keep piling it up it will sit on top of itself quiet well.
bake at 120 o celcius for 2 hours till nice and cruchny on the out side.
turn off oven and leave the tray in there over night.
next day

take the following ingredients

whipping cream, add vanilla topping ( or powder sugar and vanilla extract)
beat that baby till it forms soft peaks.

now spread it on top of your pav

next cut up your fav fruits

and arrange them on top of the cream.

and now you have the finished product, eat and enjoy.

Yum!

I've never had a pavlova but I've seen many. How sweet are they?

Very sweet
A small slice is enough for a normal person.
That one was the size of a dinner plate and fed 9 adults and I had 2 pieces heheheh.

That looks beautiful.  I've only had pavlova once, and have been meaning to try making it ever since.
