Okay, so I'm in the craftalong where we are trying to post to every completed board on Craftster.  Only, I don't own a fancy embroidery sewing machine, so I've been really researching all the different ways you can achieve this same thing with a regular machine.  Another craftster posted this amazing site and I thought I'd share because it is so inspiring! http://www.daystyledesigns.com/365project.htm She has all kinds of ideas on free motion quilting with tons of great fillers and teaching lots of techniques to do this, with videos too.  I've been cruising around over there a lot today and am thinking I could actually do this!! lol. Anyway, hope it helps someone else, if for no more than ideas.  Enjoy!

Am taking a crafting/posting hiatus and formally withdrawing from all the CAL's I was in.  Need time to recharge and rewire.  But, I am still lurking and loving you guys like crazy, keep posting the amazing projects!!!  You all rock!

I've often wondered if my "regular" sewing machines might work for some basic type of embroidery, and now I know.  thanks for sharing this info.  I am looking up info to get started on my first project.
