Hello, everybody! First time poster, long time lurker. My lovely fiancé got me a sewing machine for christmas, and I thought he could use a new wallet as a thank you. It's a simple pattern I found on about.com or some such place. Some stitching is not perfect, but I'm fairly pleased, though a bit obsessed by the flaws. I do have a few questions: 1. How do you curve bias tape around corners? I simply could not make it work. And 2. I got some very thin vinyl that I had wanted to put on the outside to keep the cotton from wearing out, but I couldn't manage to keep it flat against the cotton while sewing, creating air pockets and strange bowing. Any vinyl tips? Anyway, that's pretty much it. Hope you enjoy it and feel free to give me any critique/advice. Thanks!
