What an awesome shirt. I love the fabric as well, and the style looks fantastic on you. Great job! Did you use a pattern or did you design it yourself?

Why does life have to get in the way of crafting?

omgmarissa, tank you, and my thoughts exactly: i was worried it would look sloppy and too baggy, but it turned out quite fabulous. it does have a tendency to make some bulges when worn for a while, but you can just adjust it by hand a bit and it sits well again.

vallyncia, thank you Smiley i used a raglan shirt pattern that i found in a pattern book for young people.. i don't remember what the book was, but i'd recognise it if i saw it again.

soulfiresgrace, thanks Smiley you need to start looking for awesome fabrics in obscure places! Grin

sadly me and blogger don't speak the same language, so i had to put really small pics of the fabric there, i'll try and get bigger ones some day....

that is some great fabric. I would have bought it and then it would have sat around for years before I came up with anything. I like what you came up with!

Very interesting fabric! It almost looks like a knitted sweater. You did a great job creating the shirt.

thanks for the praises, everyone! Smiley

charmingflaws, yes, that's what usually happens. although, i try not to buy a great fabric unless i know what to make of it. i still have a printed fabric from that same trip and two brocades from a trip to Paris in 2009..... Cheesy
