Awesome!  I'm excited to be part of the swap. I too have wanted to get involved for a while, but didn't know where to start till I saw one for 'newbies'!

I am 37, live in NJ, have been married for several years and have a stressful job in social services so crafting is my therapy.  I have my hands in a little of everything crafty and I love craftster for inspiring me to make new things.  Just like many of you I love cats too -I have twins (2 black cats from the same litter, a brother and sister).  I also have a big shelter dog who is super sweet.  I love animals, I volunteer for the humane society near me.  I like to bake, especially desserts and even help my husband make beer and hard cider.  I'm very into kawaii and cute things in general. I like giving something that might not have one a personality- I read 'faces in places' everyday!  I like old school video games- Atari's Kaboom! and Super Mario brothers originals, I also like Katamari.  I am an avid reader, I go through books like no ones business.   I just finished the 'hunger games series and really enjoyed it.  I love music (especially punk rock, rockabilly, and classic country), I play several instruments, but only the piano well enough to do it in front of anyone else!  I am a NY Mets fan and 'The Blues Brothers' is my favorite movie.  Here are the crafts that I've done/been doing: beading, jewelry, collage, simple sewing (tote bags, skirts, purses) simple candlemaking, cupcakes & cookies, buttons, hair accessories, embroidery, embellishing clothing, card making, clay art, a little crocheting (just a scarf so far), and probably a couple more I forgot.  I like to try new things and usually have a decent learning curve if it's a creative project.  The best thing about making something for someone is watching them enjoy it!  I love to surprise people with something I made them or no reason.  I can't wait to send someone something in the swap.  Smiley

Maybe it's because kitties are so darned helpfull with the projects. If we survive their craft room bombardments we can do anything Smiley

Cute!  My cats are fascinated when I work, especially with yarn, chain and beads.  They find the beads I drop right away too- although it's not always easy to get them back.   Here's my twin kittehs:

Well, now I have to post pics of my kitties too! Here are Suki and Sake, who are 12 years old and have been with us since they were babies:

And here are Gemini and Juniper, who we got from shelter in December:

They like to be in my sewing room with me, but they generally leave my supplies alone--except for sleeping on the fabric, so I try to keep everything covered with towels!
