I made this and LOVE IT!!!!!
it is off http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=304534.0
I did not do the straps and made some slight modifications, but I LOVE IT!
I bought a TON of this gorgeous light weight purple corduroy for a dollar a yard!!!!
I think with a couple of more mods it could be a great wallet!!!

thanks!  yes the young lady it was for, I just stuck it in a bag of hers and when she found it she loved it!  she has a hhard time keeping up with her DS and her itouch just got abusted screen so I thought she might really like a case, and she does!

it made me love my new sewing machine even more <3

and I really can't get enough of the purple cord fabric.
any suggestions of clothing items that are good in cord are appreciated.  all I have though of is a skirt and a hat.   it is lightweight so I wish I could think of a top style, besides some sort of blazer

I love your ds case.  As for the corduroy, since it is a light weight corduroy, it will work with a lot of patterns - any thing you could sew with a light weight denim will work with corduroy.

great ds case! i should make one for mine to hide it from hubby!

and for the cord? - it makes really adorable kid's clothes, especially little jumper-style dresses.  i used it for a diaper bag, too, which gave the bag a baby-feel without the fluffy/quilted thing that so many of them have.  ooh, and decorative pillows would be good, too, because the cord usually has a really nice feel to it.

no children or babies here, my son is a grown man now.... seems like just the other day I was quilting him a baby sleeping bag to cart him around in....

I am thinking a skirt.
and I keep thinking maybe a jacket or a suit jacket even
I really need tops but can't think of anything good that would go with the cord...i don't like button downs or anything, I am a very casual dresser...
I have thought about the pillows too!
and a wallet and a purse and a hat and..... LOL
