I was reading a tutorial that recommended wrapping your bottom layer around to the back of the puzzle piece, I guess so the edges are covered.
Does anyone do this?  It seems more difficult to me, and also like it would make piecing it together more difficult.

You shouldn't do that, unless you are working on pieces that aren't going to be put back into a puzzle. Puzzle fit together tightly, and any extra paper around the edges will prevent them from fitting back together.

agreed.  but I don't see it being an issue with edge pieces.

First, some more correcting, grading some presentations and finishing my hand-out and then I can start my very first puzzle piece ever.

Nervousness! I'm going to experiment, and see if it turns out well...

I'm furious...

Have to share though... B-post, our one and only postal system in Belgium will continue to be on strike. They did this on Friday, some on Saturday, and now this. Honestly, I am mad ad sad at the same time. This is unfair. Not only do I have to receive pieces from two more people, there are some other orders I made that won't be arriving any time soon.
I have not yet finished any of my pieces, but I cannot even send them out, until I know for sure that they'll function again.

Blegh!

My 17 yo son saw the piece I did for Krafty_karasu and he loved it. And he saw the giant pieces that I did for Shelina. Now he wants me to alter a giant puzzle in the theme I did for Krafty_karasu. Guess I'll be busy for awhile.
